Trend Forecasting
I have a strong background in trend forecasting, conducting research through sources like WGSN and Pantone, and attending national and international tradeshows such as MAGIC, SHOPPEE Object, and HEIMTEXTIL. My competitive analysis identifies trends for private labels and vendor alignment. I create digital trend reports with detailed graphics and data, and physical trend forecasts with sourced fabrics and end-product presentations.

Heimtextil Trends Report
For the Heimtextil trends forecasting project, I attended the four-day tradeshow in Frankfurt, conducting in-person research and engaging with vendors to produce a comprehensive trends report. The report features three main trend themes: Minimalist/Maximalist, Raw Earth, and Outdoor Indoors, each supported by visuals and detailed analysis.
In addition to designing all graphics, including posters and tags, I sourced natural fibers and ordered eco-friendly packaging from new factories identified at the Heimtextil tradeshow. This comprehensive approach ensured that the exhibit not only conveyed the trends effectively but also adhered to sustainable practices.

The first trend, Minimalist/Maximalist, explores the harmonious blend of simplicity and exuberance. This theme features a maximalist mix of color, print, pattern, and texture, celebrating bold essentials, graphic monochromes, pattern-full expressions, stripes on stripes, and vibrant basics. The aim is to create a dynamic visual experience that balances minimalistic elements with maximalist exuberance.

Following this trend page are photos I took at the show, highlighting practical applications and real-world implementations of the Minimalist/Maximalist theme. These visuals showcase the versatility and creativity of this trend in various home decor and textile designs.

The second trend, Raw Earth, emphasizes the beauty of natural, unrefined elements. This aesthetic is practical, pared-back, utilitarian, and timeless, reflecting a sense of essentialism and longevity. The impact is sophisticated and subtle, with universal appeal. The color palette includes earthy tones such as Desert Sage, Dark Forest, and Legion Blue, combined with soft neutrals like Blanc de Blanc and Silver Birch.

The accompanying photos illustrate the Raw Earth trend in action, featuring products and setups that highlight the use of natural materials and organic textures. These images capture the essence of the Raw Earth theme, showcasing its potential to create warm, inviting, and grounded spaces.

The third trend, Outdoor Indoors, brings the freshness and vibrancy of the outdoors into interior spaces. This theme emphasizes the use of natural fibers and eco-friendly materials to create an indoor environment that feels connected to nature. It includes a variety of textures, colors, and patterns inspired by the outdoors, encouraging a sense of tranquility and well-being.

The related photos further demonstrate this trend, showcasing examples of how outdoor-inspired designs can transform interior spaces. These visuals underline the versatility of the Outdoor Indoors theme, highlighting its potential to blend seamlessly with various interior design styles.

Seasonal Research and Trend Analysis
I regularly conduct seasonal research on color palettes and relevant themes to stay ahead of industry trends and align with our private labels and vendors. Utilizing professional sources such as WGSN, Pantone, Color Marketing Group, and competitive analysis, I identify and analyze emerging trends that best fit our brand's identity and resonate with our target market.
By gathering insights from these sources, I develop comprehensive digital trend reports that include detailed graphics, data, relevant colors, and photos to illustrate each theme. These reports are crucial for our design and marketing teams, providing a clear vision of upcoming trends and how they can be integrated into our product lines.

Competitive Insights and Trend Presentations
In addition to digital reports, I create physical trend forecasts and mood boards. This process involves sourcing fabrics and materials that embody the identified trends, allowing for a tangible representation of the concepts. I then present these end products in a visually compelling format, ensuring that the trend forecasts are both informative and inspiring for stakeholders.
